Abstract:

To provide a filtering method which gives a highly clean high pressure carbon dioxide by treating high pressure carbon dioxide under a high pressure and removing micro particles from it and a filtering apparatus for the method.

The method of filtering and cleaning high pressure carbon dioxide using a filter 12 comprises cleaning high pressure carbon dioxide using the filter 12 and keeping the temperature T1 of the high pressure carbon dioxide passing through the filter 12 higher than the temperature T2 of the filtered high pressure carbon dioxide at the use point 17. The filtering apparatus 1 is equipped with the filter 12 filtering the high pressure carbon dioxide and a temperature control means 40 by which the temperature T1 of the high pressure carbon dioxide passing through the filter 12 is kept higher than the temperature T2 of the high pressure carbon dioxide to be supplied.
