Abstract:

To provide a method for obtaining a quantized and resolution-guaranteed digital image by measuring a resolution of a line pair for a resolution of an image on an examination film photographed in a radioparency test.

A radioparency meter for a radioparency test having a plurality of rectangular slits and a specimen are simultaneously photographed on an examination film in the radioparency test (step 5), the examination film is inputted through a scanner to a computer as digital image data (step 10), and an MTF value relating to images of the slits and their intervals is found from luminance information in an image data portion of the radioparency meter for radioparency test in the digital image data by the computer (step 11). It is then judged whether the MTF value is equal to or greater than a predetermined value (step 12), and when the MTF value is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, the resolution of the examination film is guaranteed, thereby electronically storing the digital image data in a memory of the computer or the like (step 13).
