Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a firing method for producing a long-sized ceramic product free from strain.
CONSTITUTION: Zirconia, a binder, water, etc., are prepd., mixed, kneaded and extrusion-molded into a cylindrical long-sized ceramic pipe 2 having 14mm diameter, 1.5mm thickness and 1,200mm length. This pipe 2 is well dried and a flange 1 is fitted to one end of the pipe 2 with the above materials. The resulting flanged long-sized ceramic pipe 2 is set on an inclined setter 3. At this time, the flange 1 is hung on the upper end of the setter 3 and it is necessary to regulate the angle of inclination of the setter 3 to 45-60°.
