PURPOSE: To be comfortable when riding in the rolling stock on stopping the vehicle smoothly by operating signals fed from the ground device according to a program and by selecting the most suitable brake step from the reference stop pattern and the distance between the ground devices.

CONSTITUTION: Each distance S1WS3 between the ground devices 2aW2d, distance S4 between the ground device 2d and the stop point 3 and respective speeds at the points XWZ are stored in the memory. When the electric rolling stock receives a signal from the ground device 2a, an interrupt request is sent from the interrupt input circuit 10 to the CPU 8. When the CPU accepts the interrupt, it reads the vehicle speed at the ground device 2a from the speed detector 9 in its response routine, computes a slowdown speed, by which the speed of rolling sotck is converged to the point X, according to the distance and speed stored in the memory, a brake step, by which a slowdown speed approaching to the computed value can be obtained, is provided to the brake gear 6 through the output amplifier circuit 12. Similarly, when the rolling stock passes the ground devices 2b, 2c, the most suitable brake step are given to the brake gear.
