PURPOSE: To provide a novel method of fixing a measuring pipe in a shift connection pipe piece, which can completely prevent the measuring pipe from stress-corrosion clacking, as possible as it can.

CONSTITUTION: End parts 11, 12, 21, 22 of measuring pipes 1, 2 are inserted in corresponding holes 31, 41, 32, 42 and are made into press-contact with the walls of the corresponding holes 31, 41, 32, 42 with the use of a press rolling tool 6 adapted to be inserted in the end parts 11, 12, 21, 22 of the measuring pipes 1, 2 with no supply of heat.
