PURPOSE: To firmly fix an ornamental member to a through hole provided in a constituting member and to join the fixing part of the ornamental member and its periphery into one body with respect to the appearance.

CONSTITUTION: The constituting member is provided with a through hole 2, and an engaging recessed part 7 is provided in the center part in the breadthwise direction of the inner peripheral face of the through hole 2. Ornamental members 9a and 9b are inserted from front and rear sides of the through hole 2 and have inside ends in contact with each other, and this contact part is placed in the center part in the breadthwise direction of the through hole. In this contact state, outside ends 27 and 27 of ornamental members on front and rear sides project to the outside from both open ends of the through hole 2. Projecting parts of both ornamental members are strongly pressed in counter directions, and inside end parts of both ornamental members are plastically deformed toward the engaging recessed part 7, and these deformed inside end parts are made bite into the engaging recessed part 7.
