PURPOSE: To increase the pull load of a shaft member and to fasten and attach more securely the shaft member to a metallic plate material by providing an annular groove part to the shaft member and deforming plastically the periphery of the hole of the shaft material by the projecting part of the hole of the shaft material by the projecting part of a receiving jig in the stage of press-fitting said member into the hole of the plate material so that the end of the plate material is gnawed into the groove part.

CONSTITUTION: A shaft member has a serrated part 23 right under the head part 12 thereof and an annular groove 22 at the end of the plate thickness. The shaft member is press-fitted into the hole 20 of a metallic plate material by a press- fitting jig 34. The periphery of the hole of a metallic plate material 18 is plastically deformed by the projecting part 32 of a receiving jig 24 in this stage and is gnawed into the groove 22. The shaft member is more securely attached to the plate member by the press contact of the serrated part and the gnawing of the plate material.
