Title:
METHOD FOR FIXING SHOE HOLDER TO SNOW BOARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08191916
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the attachment and detachment of a shoe holder to a snow board, to facilitate position adjustment and to improve safety by forming the shoe holder in such a manner that the permanent magnets mounted at its base are attracted by magnetic force to the snow board.

CONSTITUTION: A thin iron sheet 7 is adhered by an adhesive to the snow board 8. An attracting device 2 consisting of the permanent magnets 3 is mounted at the shoe holder 1. The attracting device 2 is fixed and released to and from the snow board 8 by operating a lever 6 to rotate the permanent magnets 3 around a shaft 4 via a cam shaft 4. The thin iron plate 7 is built as the structural member of the snow board 8 therein in the production stage. The snow board 8 may be constituted of such a blank. Foot positioning is made easy and delicate adjustment is made possible by such constitution. The shoes are easily released for safety even in the event of fall down.
