Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for floatation separation of paint slag which is capable of efficiently recovering and separating the paint slag by positively and surely floating the paint slag on a liquid surface by bringing particulates of a small specific gravity into contact adhesion with the paint slag.
SOLUTION: In a painting process in a wet painting booth A, the many particulates 15 of the specific gravity smaller than 1 are injected into a solution 7 within a receiving tank 10 disposed directly or connectively to the booth A and thereafter the particulates 15 are stuck to the paint slag 8 produced when the excess paint mist failing to deposit on the material 8 to be coated is taken into the solution 7. The particulates are thereby floated as the particulates integrated with the paint slag on the liquid surface 7a in the receiving tank 10 and thereafter the particulates G integrated with the paint slag are separated from the solution 7.
