To provide an apparatus for forging a casting and simultaneously, performing a partial forging treatment and a burr-removal treatment in the casting.

In this forging apparatus 40, one pair of pressing dies 33a, 33b are provided. In the upper side pressing die 33a and the lower side pressing die 33b, a cavity engaged with the casting 18, is formed, and in the upper pressing die 33a, a projecting part 37 for forging is formed at the portion faced on a thick part 18a as the objective portion for forging treatment in the casting 18. In the edge parts of the upper side pressing die 33a and the lower side pressing die 33b, respective edge parts 35 are arranged. The thick part 18a in the casting 18 is press-expanded with the projecting part 37 arranged in the upper side pressing die 33a and at the same time, a sprue part 38 and a feeder head part 39 stuck to the casting 18 are cut off by mutually piling up the pressing die by driving a driving part while interposing the casting 18 into a gap between the upper side pressing die 33a and the lower side pressing die 33b.
