The method for forming the cam lobe including a cam base 9 of which outer circumference is a semi-circular shape having a center on an axial center, a cam top 8 of which outer circumference projects to an outside from the cam base 9, and a hole 5 passing through in an axial line direction with having a center on the axial center, includes: a first process forming a roughly cylinder shape first intermediate formed article W1; a second process forming a second intermediate formed article W3 provided by forming a preparation hole 3 passing through in the axial direction on the first intermediate formed article W1 to keep radial direction thickness of a cam top intended part 6 intended to be the cam top 8 thicker than radial direction thickness of a cam base intended part 7 intended to be the cam base 9; a third process forming a third intermediate formed article W4 provided by pressing the second intermediate formed article W3 in the axial direction and forming the cam top 8, the cam base 9 and a deformed hole 4 provided by deforming the preparation hole 3; and a fourth process forming the cam lobe W5 by forming a hole 5 larger than the deformed hole 3 on the third intermediate formed article W4.
