Abstract:
To provide a method of forming a conductive carbon membrane, having excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance, on the surface of a stainless steel sheet.
A stainless steel sheet is subjected to, for example, a cold rolling treatment of at least 9.0%. A part of the austenite structure on the surface is transformed into a stress induced martensitic structure. Subsequently, the surface is subjected to pretreatment such as etching, and the carbon membrane is formed by the plasma CVD method.
