To provide a forming method of a microgroove to a metallic plate, reducing manhours including removing work of a cutting piece, by restraining scattering of the micro-cutting piece generated when forming the microgroove by carving the metallic plate.

This method carves a plurality of strips of microgrooves 2 on one surface of the metallic plate 1. The method connects the base end of the cutting piece 7 to the metallic plate 1 by stopping a cutter 6 on this side of the other end side of the metallic plate 1 by carving the microgrooves 2 by moving the cutter 6 up to a predetermined position toward the other end side from one end side of the metallic plate 1 in a groove forming process. Then, the method removes a scrap part integrally connected with the cutting piece by cutting from one end side of the metallic plate 1 more than a stopping position of the cutter 6 in a cutting process.
