Abstract:
To obtain a method for forming a light metal material of a profiled section, capable of easily and partially increasing strength of an extrusion molded article having a bag-shaped part of a closed section in an extrusion completed state and a non-bag-shaped part continued to the bag part via a connection wall.
A method for forming a light metal material of a profiled section achieves a partial increase of strength, by maintaining a uniform section of a non-bag-shaped part in a lengthwise direction, and varying (partially enlarging) a cross-sectional shape of a bag-shaped part of a closed section in the length direction.
