To provide a multiple-layered coating film having a superior coating film appearance and resistance to chipping.
This method for forming a multiple-layered coating film comprises the sequential steps of: obtaining an electrodeposition film by applying an electrodeposition paint on a steel sheet and heating and curing the paint; applying a specific aqueous first base coat paint (X), a specific aqueous second base coat paint (Y) and a clear coat paint (Z) on the electrodeposition film one by one to form a first base coat coating film, a second base coat coating film and a clear coat coating film; and heating these three coating films to simultaneously cure these three coating films. The first base coat coating film and the second base coat coating film have a specific film thickness after being cured. The multiple-layered coating film having a superior coating film appearance and resistance to chipping can be formed by the method.
