To reproduce a resin-coated roll provided with a resin-coating layer on the surface of a metal roll.
A method for reproducing the resin-coated roll provided with the resin-coating layer made of a thermosetting resin on the surface of the metal roll includes: peeling off the resin-coating layer sintered and fixed on the surface of the metal roll without via an adhesive from the surface of the metal roll; next not coating the surface of the metal roll removed with a residual adhering substance and formed into a smooth surface with the adhesive, and also coating the same with only a resin for making into the resin-coating layer without containing an adhesive resin; then increasing the temperatures thereof from normal temperature to heating temperatures of 300°C or higher and 500°C or lower over 10 to 80 hours in a sintering furnace to sinter to provide the surface of the metal roll with the resin-coating layer without accumulating gas between the surface of the metal roll and the resin-coating layer.
