PURPOSE: To enable a reversal color photographic image to be formed stably for a long term, by processing a photographic material for silver halide color reversal using a reversing bath containing a stannous salt and a specified dihydroxy aromatic compound.

CONSTITUTION: A photographic light sensitive material for silver halide color reversal is imagewise exposed, and processed in a reversing bath containing a stannous salt and one or more of compounds represented by formula I or II in which R1, R2 are H, halogen, sulfo, 1W18C alkyl, -OR3, -COOR4, -CONR5R6, and R3WR6 are H or 1W18C alkyl. A color reversal image is formed by color developing said processed material. As a compound represented by formula I or II; 4-methyl-1,2-dihydroxybenzene; 1,2-dihydroxynaphthalene-5-sulfoninc acid, etc, are shown.
