Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the price with a simple structure by fitting a mandrel having projections of the prescribed same number as that of a groove shape to be machined on its outer circumferential surface to a working machine, and cutting a recessed groove for generating a dynamic pressure in a rotation support part fixed to a working machine table side.
SOLUTION: A groove cutting mandrel 2 which is guided to an inner circumferential surface of a blank 1 by a guide part 4 forms a spiral groove an by projections 3 in the inner circumferential surface of the blank 1 through the clockwise low-speed rotation and the slide in the arrow direction. After the mandrel slides by the prescribed distance, the groove-cutting mandrel 2 is turned counterclockwise without changing its slide feed speed, and the groove 5 of a dynamic pressure type rotary support part is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the blank 1. The groove-cutting mandrel 2 is again turned clockwise, starts the slide in the reverse direction, and completes the groove cutting after returning the reverse process in the rotational direction and the slide direction. Because the projections 3 correctly follow the groove 5, the groove 5 is neither damaged nor deformed.
