Abstract:
The method to produce rotors for screw pumps includes placing a tube (11) into a clamping device (12). It is fitted with a ring (13) provided with a gradation working together with a ruler (14) with gradation indicating the advance of the tube. The spiral shape is achieved by bending the tube in stages by a certain amount with the help of tool (18) operated by ram (20). After each bending operation to tube is turned by a pre-determined amount (usually by 4 degrees) and the next bending operation is carried out. In this way a complete thread is produced in 90 operations.
