Abstract:
To provide a method for forming a shot-peening working surface with which the shot-peening worked surface can be formed on the surface of roll device component without bringing about increases in the cost of a base stock cost and in a working cost.
As the base stock for the component of rolling device where the shot-peening worked surface is formed, bearing steel having carbon content of 0.95-1.1 mass% is used. Further, the shot-peening is applied under the state of heating the rolling device component to a temperature lower than the tempering temperature of the rolling device component and higher than 373K.
