To provide a fumigating apparatus in a narrow place by solving a problem wherein in the conventional fumigating apparatus for wood, a wide place is occupied for installation as a burning room for generation fume, a fume storing room and a fumigating room are installed under a condition where they are transversely arranged.

The burning room 1 for generating fume is provided at the lowermost part and a steam generating device 9 is provided above the burning room 1 to generate steam 10 and the fume storing room 4 is provided above the steam generating device 9 to mix the fume 3 and the steam 10 and to introduce the mixture into the fumigating room 5 at the uppermost part and the fumigating apparatus in which each room is piles up thereby is provided and in the fumigating room 5, woods 7 under a vertically arranged condition are fumigated.
