Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken the processing for obtaining a variable field value XT suitable when the CRC value of a CRC field 43 is replaced by a desired CRC value CT.
SOLUTION: A CRC conversion table 47 storing correction values indicative of the inverted bits of a variable field value X is prepared beforehand. At first, exclusive OR of the CRC value when the variable field value X is 0 and a desired CRC value is taken and stored as an operation value A(45). Subsequently, a variable field value X is set and all correction values E corresponding to a bit number N where the bit of the variable field value X becomes "1" are read out. Exclusive OR of all correction values E thus read out is calculated to obtain an operation value B and a variable field value X(=XT) where the operation value B coincides with the operation value A is determined.
