To provide a method for generating and measuring torsional vibration using magnetic deformation, and a device for generating and measuring the torsional vibration using it.
The torsional vibration generation/measurement device using the magnetic deformation and its method are provided, which is provided with a torsional vibration generating section for transmitting torsional vibration to a test object member having an arbitrary cross-sectional shape and a predetermined length, and a torsional vibration measuring section for measuring the torsional vibration generated in the torsional vibration generating section. The torsional vibration generating section and the torsional vibration measuring section are provided with a magnetically deforming substance 1 adhering along the periphery of the test object member 2 and made of a magnetic substance, a first magnetic field forming section 3 for forming a magnetic field along the periphery of the test object member vertically to the longitudinal direction of the deforming substance 1, and a second magnetic field forming section for forming a magnetic field vertical practically to the direction of the magnetic field generated by the first section 3 with respect to the deforming substance 1, in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the test object member.
