Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a three-dimensional stereoscopic picture from a two-dimensional plane image due to a simple eye and the distance information of an image stored in a Z buffer by using a computer.
SOLUTION: This method includes a 1st step in which a 1st two-dimensional image corresponding to one eye is generated by rendering a three-dimensional model, the color information of the 1st two-dimensional image is stored in a frame buffer and the distance information is stored in the Z buffer, a 2nd step in which a 2nd two-dimensional image corresponding to the other eye is generated by using the 1st two-dimensional image, the color information stored in the frame buffer and the distance information stored in the Z buffer, and a 3rd step in which a stereoscopic picture is generated by using the 1st and 2nd two-dimensional images.
