To provide a method by which a powdery material in which sulfuric acid is present independently can be accurately granulated into granules or briquettes even in the case where an additive quantity of a binder is relatively small and also to provide a granulated material of the powdery material.

This method is a method for granulating a powdery material in which at least sulfuric acid exists independently into granules or briquettes. A calcium compound and a powdery organic binder are added to the powdery material, these are kneaded and the resultant kneaded material is granulated into granules or briquettes of 10 to 200 mm grain size using a granulating machine.
