Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely grip a workpiece having a various diameter from the maximum to the minimum by a small stroke by providing a pair of gripping claws having complimentary surfaces and movable laterally and toward and away from each other.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of gripping claws 101, 102 have complimentary depressions and projections and are moved laterally and toward and away from each other. The width of the depression and the projection at the middle expand outside. The pair of claws 101, 102 can grip a work having a various diameter from the maximum to the minim by a small stroke S1.
