To simply enable direct fertilizer application to plants as growth promotion fertilizer while using a bean-curd refuse as a raw material, in a method for growing plants by using the bean-curd refuse produced as a by-product when producing soybean curd and soy bean milk, and the bean-curd refuse suitable for growth of plants.

The present inventors found that the bean-curd refuse for fertilizer enables direct application and has fertilizer effect and has good dispersing and permeating properties and water retainability and does not cause fermentation hinderance in soil and suitably avoids occurrence of putrefaction and malodor and promotes growth of plants quickly than conventional fertilizers by making bean-curd refuse fine-particle and paste-like and completed the present invention.
