Abstract:

To dry a flowable bulk material at a small energy cost and in a short time.

In a method for heating and/or drying a flowable bulk material, synthetic resin granule in particular, wherein the material is supplied to a processing machine, an injection molding machine in particular, a high- temperature air flow 18 runs through transversely to the flowing direction of the flowable bulk material. A heating apparatus 14 for the flowable bulk material, the synthetic resin granule in particular, which is equipped with one heater at least is equipped with at least one flowing chamber 28 for the bulk material and the high-temperature air flow 18 passes through this chamber 28 transversely to the flowing direction of the material.
