To provide a method for holding a transducing substance with which the transducing substance can surely be stuck to the tip of a sharp needlepoint without dulling the tip when the transducing substance is fixed to the needlepoint and held by electrodeposition.
The method for holding the transducing substance is carried out as follows. The transducing substance is held on the needle 41 by electrically attracting the transducing substance to the needle 41 of a transducing means selectively transducing the transducing substance into the objective biosample and containing a conductor on at least the surface. The needle 41 and a submerged electrode 74 are immersed in the transducing substance solution 72 containing the transducing substance so as not to mutually contact. At least the tip 41a of the needle 41 is kept in a state of protruding from the transducing substance solution 72 and a voltage is applied across the needle 41 and the submerged electrode 74 so that the needle 41 and the transducing substance are kept in opposite electrical polarity.
