Abstract:
To automatically identify scenes, thus providing the prints optimum for the scenes.
Presence of persons is determined by detecting a human image in an input image. When there are no person, the image is determined to be a landscape picture. When there are people, the areas of their faces are calculated and the number of people is counted; when the areas of the faces are equal to or greater than a predetermined ratio and the number of people is more than a predetermined number, the image is determined to be a a commemorative picture, and when the areas of the faces are equal to or greater than a predetermined ratio and the number of people is less or equal to a predetermined number, the image is determined to be a portrait picture.
