Abstract:
PURPOSE: To permit the callee terminal of an incoming call register number to output a calling signal with a means of inexpensive configuration by providing the caller terminal of the plural register numbers with a line and distributing incoming call information, consisting of an a private number or a code, etc., during the soundless period before and after the ringing of a calling signal.
CONSTITUTION: An exchange 1 provided with communication, exchange and management modules 3-7 is connected to a public telephone exchange network 2, and the multiple register numbers (DN) are assigned to one line. The line- connecting device 17 of the module 5 is connected to telephone sets 23-31 and a facsimile, response and remote measuring instruments 32, 50 and 60 with the lines 11-15, 51 and 61. In this case, when DN of the telephone set 23 is received, a processor 19 searches a database in a memory 21, connects the device 17 to the line 11 and transmits the FSK signal of incoming DN. The signal is decoded by a converter in the telephone set 23, a controller displays it in a display 35, and an discriminating sound, etc., is issued in accordance with DN. Thus, the terminals of respective incoming DNs are called in a same way in a more inexpensive system.
