PURPOSE: To automate the sorting of winding bobbins and empty bobbins in a production line of a spinning factory by using a magnetic marker and to save manpower.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic marker 14 constituted of arraying plural magnetic thin wires having rectangular magnetic characteristics having respectively different coercive force or a detection element is connected to one end of each bobbin 15 and a bobbin identifier consisting of two exciting coils 18a, 18b connected to an AC power supply to generate AC magnetic fields, a detection coil 20 for extracting a change in the magnetic flux of the marker 14, a compensating coil 21, an amplifier 22, and a magnetic marker identifier 23 is arranged in the vicinity of a bobbin carrier. When the bobbin 15 is passed through the AC magnetic field and a time-sequential pulse voltage string generated on the coil 20 is signal-processed and recognized at its pattern, the sort of the bobbin 15 can be read out without executing manual operation. The detection element having a collar part and a leg part in which the marker 14 is embedded and showing a T shape at its cross section is engaged with the bobbin 15 and stabilized so as not to be damaged.
