Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method for igniting a sintering layer improved in the yield of a product and the productivity in the manufacture of sintered ore as raw material by a lower suction type sintering machine at the time of iron- making in the blast furnace, etc.
CONSTITUTION: In an ignition furnace 11, coke in surface layer of the sintering raw material packing layer is ignited by using the igniting gas. A part of the igniting gas is supplied to the surface layer of the sintering raw material packing layer in the combination of live gas together with oxygen-containing gas at the latter half part of the ignition furnace 11.
