Title:
METHOD FOR IMPARTING HYDROPHILICITY TO CATION-EXCHANGE RESIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6384640
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the hydrophilicity of the title cation-exchange resin by using a binder to paste a latex on the surface of the base, and allowing the hydroxyl group or glycidyl group, the reactive group of the binder, to react with an acid derivative to introduce the acid into the binder.

CONSTITUTION: The binder 1 (or 2') having a hydroxyl group (or glycidyl group) is allowed to react with sodium monochloroacetate (or sodium sulfite) is sodium hydroxide (or hot water), hence a hydrophilic acid (derivative) is introduced into the binder 1 (or 1'), and a cation-exchange resin having improved hydrohilicity is obtained. The cation-exchange resin imparted with hydrophilicity can be easily packed in a separation column, etc., the peak form of the chromatogram obtained by using the separation column is sharpened, and the analysis of a component to be measured is carried out with ease.
