To provide a method for imparting sweetness capable of giving body feeling while suppressing offensive taste and bitter taste peculiar to a transglycosidated stevia, low/non-caloric sweetness with good quality close to sugar, and also high thermal stability, and to obtain the subject sweetener having the properties.

This method for imparting sweetness comprises using an α- glucosylstevia sweetenner and sucralose. The other objective sweetener is obtained by the above method.
