Title:
METHOD OF IMPROVING ADHESION OF LIGNOCELLULOSE GROUP MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6058803
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for the bonding of lignocellulosic material, such as wood, in the production of reconstituted wood products, such as fibreboard, particleboard, plywood and the like, with a thermosetting resin. According to the process an exothermic reaction providing chemical is added to the wood fibres, particles or veneers during manufacture. During pressing of the fibres, particles or veneers the exothermic reaction providing chemical takes part in an exothermic reaction within the fibre-board, particle-board or plywood being produced, providing heat. This heat assists in curing the thermosetting resin more rapidly than would otherwise be the case. Products of the process are also claimed.
