Abstract:

To provide a method for improving the efficiency of hybridization by preventing the formation of a three-dimensional structure formed by a hydrogen bond in a nucleic acid molecule.

This method for detecting a base sequence of a probe nucleic acid and a complementary sequence in the nucleic acid in a sample, comprising hybridization of the nucleic acid in the sample with the probe nucleic acid is characterized in that one or more kinds of bases in the nucleic acid in the sample and/or the probe nucleic acid are previously chemically modified.
