Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving engine operation.SOLUTION: A method for starting and operating an engine 11 after activation of a mild hybrid automobile 5 is disclosed for the engine 11 including a low-pressure starting device 13 and a high-pressure starting device 14 controlled by an electronic control device 10. The method contains a step of cranking the engine 11 with the high-pressure starting device 14 as a motor in order to always discharge part of a high-pressure battery 18. The method further contains a step of using the high-pressure starting device 14 as a dynamo even if it is necessary to increase an exhaust gas temperature for assisting ignition of one or a plurality of exhaust gas aftertreatment devices 6 after starting of the engine 11.
