Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method improving fatigue resistance of hollow cylindrical parts made of steel such as rollers for roller chains having hardness of HRC ≥45.
SOLUTION: The fatigue resistance of the hollow cylindrical parts made of steel is improved by passing a tool 8 having a spherical surface 7 of a diameter D3 greater than the inner diameter D1 of a pore section 9 of the hollow cylindrical parts 6 made of steel having the hardness of HRC ≥45 into this hole section 9 and expanding the external diameter D2 to ≥0.2%.
