Abstract:
To provide a system and a method for improving performance of a flash-based storage system using a specialized flash memory controllers.
The system includes at least one flash memory chip for storing data, at least one flash controller to control the flash memory chip comprising a DMA interface including output DMA request signals which turns active when the system is in a state executable of DMA data transfer, and at least one micro controller to make the flash memory chip and control and data signals of the flash controller active.
