Abstract:
To provide a pulley having improved pitching fatigue characteristic, and a pitching fatigue characteristic improving method.
The pulley has improved fatigue characteristic, wherein the residual stress of the surface of a sheave face satisfies the following expression (A): (residual stress [MPa])/(surface Vickers hardness Hv.)<-1.5, and the average surface roughness of the sheave face is 0.3 μm or smaller. The pitching fatigue characteristic improving method is also provided.
