Title:
METHOD FOR IMPROVING RESISTANCE OF STAINLESS STEEL TO RICE WINE @(3754/24)JAPANESE SAKE)
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3213410
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method for obtaining stainless steel which does not discolor rice wine (Japanese sake) by washing stainless steel, which is relatively inexpensive and superior in both corrosion resistance and machinability, with an acid by a relatively safe method.
CONSTITUTION: The stainless steel consisting of ≤0.08wt.% C, ≤1.0wt.% Si, ≤0.7wt.% Mn, ≤0.04wt.% P, ≤0.005wt.% S, 8.0-12.0wt.% Ni, 17.0-20.0wt.% Cr, 0.40-0.80wt.% Mo, 0.10-0.30wt.% Cu, 0.03-0.12wt.% Bi, and the balance Fe with in evitable impurities is washed in a nitric acid solution, or washed in a nitric acid plus ammonium fluoride solution and then in a nitric acid solution. Consequently, the stainless steel which is small in the elution of Fe ions even when used in Japanese sake environment is obtained.
