Abstract:

To provide a method for remarkably improving the response characteristics of a turbo charger and the response characteristics if an internal combustion engine coupled to the turbo charger without eminently increasing structural time and labor.

During a change of a positive load and/or during idling and/or during weak load operation, post-injection is executed extremely in a delay, and setting a post-injection timing as described above, complete evaporation of fuel in a cylinder is achieved. However, in this case, so that a mixture consisting of fuel vapor and residual oxygen of exhaust gas is not ignited in the cylinder, the mixture of fuel vapor and exhaust gas is oxidized for the first time by a special means in an exhaust route and between an exhaust valve and the inlet to an exhaust turbine of an exhaust turbo charger.
