Abstract:
To provide a method for changing rheology of EP(D)M polymer.
The method is composed of a high sharing treatment of a mixed polymer comprising one or more EP(D)M polymers mixed with a poly-α-olefin in the presence of 0.02-2, preferably 0.05-1 wt.% of one or more polyfunctional vinyl monomer(s) and one or more hydroperoxide(s) in the molar ratios of the vinyl monomer(s) and hydroperoxide(s) at 0.005/1 to 2/1, preferably 0.01/1 to 1/1 at temperatures of 75-260, preferably at 140-210°C.
