Abstract:
To provide a means for detecting the amount of an antigen produced by administration of a DNA vaccine in vivo in order to extend the usefulness of the DNA vaccine.
The amount of the antigen produced from the administered DNA vaccine is increased because the transfer efficiency of the DNA vaccine into a cell is enhanced when the DNA vaccine is administered by using a needleless syringe. Thereby, the antigen produced from the administered DNA vaccine can be assayed in vivo by a usual means for enzyme-labeled antibody method. The method is thought to contribute to the extension of the usefulness of the DNA vaccine.
