Abstract:
To provide a method for designing/manufacturing a high compression ratio engine eliminating generation of abnormal combustion (mainly knocking).
A high compression ratio is set. The following countermeasure is adopted to exclude the abnormal combustion generated in combination with the setting. Basically, the property of intake gas is changed. As specific methods, (1) pressure of gas in an intake tube 1 is set to be negative pressure; (2) inert gas is mixed to reduce oxygen partial pressure of the intake gas; (3) an air-fuel ratio is increased to depend on other power sources; and (4) temperature of the intake gas is lowered.
