Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prompt a user to correct a miss by presenting a specified warning indicative of error in a waveform operating expression inputted from an operating section on a display when a grammatical error is present therein.
SOLUTION: Operating items are presented at the lower part of the screen on a display 6 and a user operates a cursor to input a waveform operating expression while selecting a desired operating items. When a grammatically correct waveform operating expression is inputted, as shown at the upper stage, an equality sign = is displayed following to a character of expression. When the object number of an operating item DIF is missed to input and a grammatical error is present, as shown at the lower stage, a question mark ? is displayed following to a character of expression and a specific mark $ is put at an erroneous position. Consequently, a user can determine whether the expression is correct or not grammatically while inputting a waveform operating expression, and can perform input miss correcting operation, as required.
