METHOD FOR INFILTRATING DRUG IN WOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily infiltrate drug in a short period of time even in the core part, the infiltration in which is hard, of a wood without using a special device or the like by a method wherein the infiltration in the wood is executed by adding a carrier in a drug in a state of solution.
SOLUTION: To the inorganic drug solution of a metal salt or of the salt of metal such as copper, iron, manganese, nickel, zinc or the like having the predetermined action, either a compound (a woody carrier) represented by the formula (I), in which X represents either one selected from the group consisting of CH3, H or OH, or a compound represented by the formula II is added. A solution containing the drug and the wooden carrier can be infiltrated without being limited through the part of a wood or, for example, through the immersion of the butt end of a wood or through the immersion of the side surface of a wood such as hemlock spruce, cedar, cypress or the like. However, from the view point that the utilization of a capillarity, the immersion of the butt end of the wood is preferable. Thus, the infiltration of the drug in both a sap wood and a core wood can be realized under normal pressure and temperature in a short period of time without employing a special device such as a pressurizing device or the like.
