Title:
METHOD FOR INSERT MOLDING BY PRESS-FITTING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3216081
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate removal of a rubber and the like by press-fitting insert work in resin to prevent occurrence of weld in insert molding, and shutting off a cavity gate by the work itself.
SOLUTION: A work set hole 8 opened at a cavity mold surface is penetrated in a movable mold 2 in which a cavity 3 formed by closing a fixed mold 1 is recessed on a parting surface. A gate 14 is opened at the cavity side of the hole 8. An operating pin 10 is approachably and retractably inserted in the hole 8 from a rear part. An insert work 16 is inserted and set in the hole between the pin 10 and the gate 14, and the molds are closed. A predetermined amount of resin 15 is cast in the cavity 3. The work 16 is press-fitted in the cavity 3 by the pin 10 to be inserted while the resin 15 has fluidity. The gate 14 is shut off by the work 16.
