Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect the shape and posture of an object, by projecting linear light to the object in a vertical direction and detecting a partial or entire light blocking signal not only at the front end part of the object but also at the rear end part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A light projecting part 10 projects linear light 11 in the direction right-angled to a conveyor on a glass bottle B and the sensor 21 of a light receiving part generates the photoelectromotive voltage corresponding to the change in a light receiving state due to the blocking of light. This voltage is compared with thee reference voltage, set by a reference voltage setting part 29, by a light passage and light blocking judging part 28 through a signal amplifying part 27 to judge the passage or blocking of light. The output of the light receiving part 20 is sent to an abnormality judging part 30 and an OR circuit 31 outputs a partial light blocking signal on the basis of a light blocking degree due to the front end part of the bottle B to perform the judgement of abnormality. Since there is erroneous operation due to the transmission of light at the center thereof, data disregarding processing is performed. An AND circuit 33 outputs a partial light passage signal at the rear end part of the bottle B to perform the judgement of abnormality.
